Since December 20, investments in Crimea and Sevastopol prohibited.
The new sanctions of the European Union (EU) in relation annexed by Russia to the Crimea and Sevastopol published in the official journal of the EU, which means that they entered into force. Recall that these sanctions prohibit all foreign investment in the region.
Since December 20, investments in Crimea and Sevastopol prohibited. European and EU-based companies will not be able to buy more property or organization in the Crimea, to Finance the Crimean company or to provide appropriate services. In addition, the operators of the EU will no longer be allowed to offer tourist services in the Crimea and Sevastopol. In particular, the European cruise ships will no longer be able to enter ports in the Crimean Peninsula, except for emergency cases. This applies to all vessels owned or controlled by Europeans or setting under the flag of a member state of the EU. Existing cruise contracts can be implemented before March 20.
Already existing ban on the export of goods and technologies in the areas of transport, telecommunications, energy and exploitation of oil, gas and minerals, is expanding.
The EU gives the list of goods the export of which is prohibited in the Crimea (restrictions affect the transport, telecommunications, energy, exploration, and production of oil, gas and mineral resources). In addition, published a list of seven Crimean ports subject to sanctions (Sevastopol, Kerch, Yalta, Feodosia, Evpatoria, Chernomorsk, Kamysh-Burun).
The EU underlines the need for the determination of transition periods and exceptions in order to minimize the impact of these restrictive measures against economic operators and civil population of the Crimea and Sevastopol.
These measures will be added to the ban on the import of goods from the Crimea and Sevastopol, imposed in June, as well as the restrictions imposed in July on trade and investments associated with certain sectors of the economy and infrastructure projects.
