The Council of national security and defence intends to consider measures to strengthen access control to the area of the antiterrorist operation (ATO) in relation to the increasing threat of terrorism.

About this at the briefing said the NSDC Secretary Oleksandr Turchynov, according to the Censor.NET with reference to Ukrainian news.

"We plan by the end of the year to hold a Council of national security and defence in respect of establishing control, hard format passes in the zone of the antiterrorist operation in order to localize the terrorist threat, which today is," said he.

The NSDC Secretary said that in conjunction with information about the threats of terrorist attacks, law enforcement agencies notified about the necessity of intensification of anti-terrorist measures.

Turchynov stressed that for the government the main thing is to ensure the safety of citizens, however, we must act within the Constitution.

As previously reported, the security Service of Ukraine blocked the attempt of a terrorist attack in the center of Kiev.
