Gas was easier, for a long time Europe had no facilities for receiving liquefied natural gas. Everything was consumed – was going through the pipes, but the majority of the pipes was from Russia. Nevertheless, Moscow has already bought up not only the trunk, as happened in Belarus and failed in Ukraine, but also the distribution network that supplied gas to the final consumers. This is particularly noticeable in Germany, but in other countries it looked like this.Moreover, attempts have been made purchase of chemical companies that formed the surrounding infrastructure of the gas transmission system. This can be judged with certainty on the activity of the Russians in Poland and Germany. Why should only the deal with Gazprom BASF. But all this is only transparent investments. At the same time, Ukraine has a weak Navy, but convenient location, with developed infrastructure for basing of the fleet.
